HOW TO MAKE IT

Let's cook.

01

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.

02

In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg. Toss gently to coat the apples evenly. Pour the apple mixture into the prepared baking dish.

03

In a separate medium bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, rolled oats, and light brown sugar. Mix well.

04

Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Using your fingertips or a pastry blender, cut the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

05

Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the apple mixture in the baking dish.

06

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown and bubbly. You can test the apple tenderness by gently piercing with a fork.

07

Remove from the oven and let the apple crumble cool for at least 10-15 minutes before serving. This allows the filling to set slightly.
