Mango Kulfi Pops

These creamy and refreshing Mango Kulfi Pops are a delightful Indian frozen dessert, perfect for a hot day. Made with ripe mangoes, condensed milk, and a hint of cardamom, they offer a taste of traditional Indian flavors in a fun, easy-to-eat format.

✎
HOW TO MAKE IT

Let's cook.

01

If using fresh mangoes, peel and chop them, then blend until smooth to create 2 cups of mango pulp. Strain the pulp through a fine-mesh sieve if you prefer a smoother kulfi.

02

In a large mixing bowl, combine the mango pulp, sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, and cardamom powder. Whisk until all ingredients are well combined and the mixture is smooth.

03

Pour the kulfi mixture evenly into 6 popsicle molds. If you don't have popsicle molds, small paper cups can be used.

04

Insert popsicle sticks into each mold. If using paper cups, cover them with aluminum foil and poke the stick through the foil to keep it upright.

05

Place the popsicle molds in the freezer for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight, until completely solid.

06

To serve, briefly run the molds under warm water for 10-15 seconds to easily release the kulfi pops. Garnish with chopped pistachios if desired.

Chef's Tips

For an extra rich flavor, you can lightly toast the cardamom pods before grinding them into a powder. Ensure your mangoes are very ripe for the best sweetness and flavor.

Easy Substitutions

You can substitute the mango pulp with other fruit purees like strawberry or lychee for different kulfi flavors. For a dairy-free version, use full-fat coconut cream instead of heavy cream and a dairy-free condensed milk alternative.
