In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, milk, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it in a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard to create the glaze.
Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
Bake for 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) when measured with a meat thermometer.
Remove from the oven and let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
